VHMA WEBINAR:  DVM Compensation – A Prescription for Change
Thursday, May 9, 2019
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EST

Recently, more practices are looking at alternative DVM payment models that promote a team approach while still incentivizing associate veterinarians to grow hospital revenues and profits. In this we will outline four commonly used compensation models. We will examine the history of how and why each model and the drawbacks for each. We will discuss how compensation structures impact hospital cultures and can be designed to promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration. Using SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely) goals, a new compensation model can be tailored to an organization’s goals.
