VHMA and Patterson Veterinary Academy Partner to deliver Management Education

Strengthening Core Competencies to Advance Management Skills

The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) and Patterson Veterinary Academy (PVA) are pleased to announce a partnership to provide a co-branded series of educational courses to enhance and expand learning opportunities for veterinary practice managers. The series focuses on:

  • Human resource management,
  • Inventory management,
  • Workplace safety management,
  • Marketing management, and
  • Finance management.
Within the PVA Management Package, you'll find the co-branded VHMA-PVA management training courses designed to address core competencies for your management team members. Subscriptions start at just $500/year for 10 learners (add-on seat packages available) and one administrator account. There are also clinical and professional development course packages, providing content for every position, and team members will receive unlimited access to courses, including new additions to the educational library.

Credits: Six (6) total continuing education credits for all of the financial management courses listed below:

  • Financial Protection
  • The Flow of Money & Revenue Management
  • Discounts, Audits & Accounts Receivable
  • Expense Management
  • Establishing Operations to Improve Revenue & Profit Management and Financial Reporting

Human Resource Management

Credits: Six (6) total continuing education credits for all Human Resource Management courses, including:

  • The Employment Cycle
  • The Finances of Human Resources

Inventory Management

Credits: Six (6) total continuing education credits for all Inventory Management sources, including:

  • Controlled Substances in Veterinary Medicine: Clinical Use, Inventory Management & Preventing Abuse

Credits: Eight (8) total continuing education credits for all Marketing Management courses, including:

  • Foundation Essentials of Digital Marketing
  • Branding Your Practice
  • Marketing Tactics
  • Building Community Connection
  • Protecting the Reputation of Your Practice
  • Quantifying the Reputation of Your Practice

Workplace Safety Management

Credits: Seven (7) total continuing education credits for all Workplace Safety Management courses, including:

  • Introduction to Workplace Safety
  • Development of Your Hazardous Communication Plan
  • Development of Individual Safety Plans
