Membership Options

VHMA's membership year runs from January 1 through December 31.

Applications received after October 1 will include the following membership year. Once you register for a paid membership after October 1, a VHMA Team member will review your account and manually extend your membership to December 31 of the next year within a few days of receiving your registration.

Applications received before October 1 are not prorated.

VHMA DUES are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes; however, dues may be deducted as business expenses at 100%. VHMA does not participate in any lobbying activities.

Individual Membership - $265

Team Membership - $265 (first member), $190/per subsequent member

Veterinary practice owners and veterinary practice personnel who spend at least 75% of their time either in the direct conduct of veterinary medicine or who have direct responsibility for the management and day-to-day operation of one or more veterinary hospitals.

Veterinary practice owners and veterinary practice management personnel actively involved in the same practice, each spending at least 75% of the time practicing veterinary medicine or veterinary practice management. Each organization or practice may have an unlimited number of persons per membership, and each person shall have one vote in VHMA affairs.

Convert to Team Membership

Current Individual or Consultant members can convert their membership to a Team Membership by completing this form. A $190 invoice will be created and sent to you for each new individual you add to your Team Membership.

Consultant Membership - $265

Individuals who provide management or other specific services on a contractual basis to veterinary hospitals.

Student Membership - $190

Individuals who provide management or other specific services on a contractual basis to veterinary hospitals. Each team may have an unlimited number of persons per membership, and each person shall have one vote in VHMA affairs.

Student - Internet Access Only - $0 (Initial Year)

Student is defined as one who is enrolled in the professional curriculum of veterinary medicine or business management at a recognized university or college and who is not eligible for membership in any other membership category.

Veterinary management students enrolled in an accredited college may receive a one-time complimentary, Internet access only, membership to the VHMA. Regular membership terms and conditions apply. Student - Internet Access Only members receive Internet access only, membership discounts and other benefits do not apply.

Alumni Membership - $53

This class of membership shall be limited to individuals who were past members of the association who are no longer employed within the industry. Alumni members shall be non-voting members, ineligible to hold office.

This category of record allows individual veterinary professionals to create a nonmember record in the database so you can access programs offered to nonmembers for a fee without membership.
